About GM Mountaineering
GM Mountaineering and all its instructors are well aware of the environmental
impact outdoor activities can have on our fragile planet. Our aim is simple:
“
To enjoy the outdoor world leaving it as close to its natural state
as possible: leave no trace”.
We endeavour to ensure sustainability and safety in all the activities
delivered.
GM Mountaineering is headed up by Graeme Morrison who has a wealth of
experience in teaching and instructing in the outdoors. He holds
the Mountaineering Instructors Certificate and is responsible for the
design and development and delivery of the courses offered.
Graeme has high mountain and climbing experience in the Alps, Himalaya,
North America and Antarctica. He is also the Central and Southern Scotland
Representative for the Association of Mountaineering Instructors (AMI) and a
co-opted member of the Mountaineering Council of Scotland Mountain Safety Committee.
To ensure maximum learning and safety GMM only use fully qualified and
experienced freelance instructors who are also members of the AMI.
